About
A Hero’s Day Off: Heroes vs. Villains is a digital, for charity BNHA OCs zine centered around the lives of these heroes and villains, both at work and on their days off. Pieces will focus on completely original characters created by our amazing contributors, however it will all be set in the BNHA universe.
FAQ 1.1
General:
What is a zine?
A zine is a collection of artistic works (mostly written/drawn) all centered around a theme. This zine is specifically a fanzine, which means it is made by fans and for fans who all follow the theme of the zine. It’s comparable to a book or magazine!
Q; NSFW content?
-No. This is a SFW zine that is available for everyone to enjoy.
FAQ 2.1
Creation:
Q: Will there be backgrounds in the pieces?
Yes, we’d like full illustrations for pieces, which includes backgrounds along with the artist’s fully rendered character illustration.
Q: How many illustrations will be made per artist?
All artists will be making the minimum of 2, but there is an option to make 4.
Q: Can I use my piece in portfolios after I finish it?
Yes. Until you are allowed to post it, however, we ask that you only use it in private portfolios that you are sharing with the moderators of that zine only. We also ask that you include a note that the piece is not to be distributed.
FAQ 2.2
Creation:
Q; Will there be double page spreads?
Preferably, no. Due to the concept of the zine, its better to stick to single, portrait pages.
We do have a double spread included in the zine, its the breaker between the hero pages and the villain pages.
Q: Will OC x canon character works be included?
Again, preferably not. We want this zine to focus around the OCs of the BNHA universe. As stated in the previous zine, small hints of canon characters are allowed - such as a badge on their clothes or a poster on their wall.
FAQ 2.3
Creation:
Q: What is the ‘Centerfold artist’ role?
Its the role specific for creating the double page spread between the concepts of the design. Simple as that.
Q: How many pages will this zine be?
Not sure yet, depending on how many artists we take on and how many pages they want to do. Will announce the page count when the zine is almost ready for preorders!
Q: When will I be allowed to post my full piece publicly?
Once pre-orders close, buyers have received their packages, and leftover sales are being readied, you will be allowed to post your full piece.

The center page artists is in charge of creating a double page spread illustration that represents both halves together and combines both concepts.
As the center page artist, this will be the only illustration you will need to work on. You will get guidance and help from the mod teams and the other artists too to help you refine your design.
Cover artist:
The cover artist is responsible for making the front and back cover of the zine, along with creating the spine design.
Both the front and back cover will be A4. The cover MUST include the title of the zine.
